Lesley-Ann is an educator and designer who practices design through emancipatory, critical and anti-hegemonic lenses, focusing on equity, social justice and the experiences of people who are often excluded from design research. Her research also highlights the work of designers outside of Europe and North America as an act of decolonizing design.

Bayo Akomolafe is a philosopher, writer, activist, professor of psychology, and executive director of the Emergence Network.

Dr. Wunpini Fatimata Mohammed was born and raised in Tamale. She is an Assistant Professor at the College of Journalism & Mass Communication at the University of Georgia.

Fati Abubakar is a documentary photographer, photojournalist and public health worker in Nigeria who specializes in documenting cities and towns, using photography as a medium to highlight problems at the community level.

Hakim Adi is a British historian and scholar who specializes in African affairs. He is the first historian of African-descent to become a professor of history in the UK.

Jacquelyn Ogorchukwu Iyamah (she/her) is a racial wellness visionary and healing-informed designer.

Jessica Horn is a feminist activist, strategist and writer with roots in Uganda. With a background in medical anthropology her activist organising and writing has been rooted in the movement for embodied liberation. She has worked in women’s rights for two decades, supporting the struggle for women to live healthy, autonomous lives in their own bodies. With a passion for documenting African women’s lives and resistance, Jessica was co-founder and commissioning editor of Our Africa on openDemocracy.

Neema Iyer is an artist and a technologist. She is the founder of Pollicy, an award-winning feminist civic technology collective based in Kampala, Uganda.
